60MO.com is an application intended to help startup companies and small businesses manage their finances. Users can enter data and view forecasts for their financial future. All of the user’s vital business statistics are compiled and displayed in one place. Other relevant individuals can be invited to review the data, including accountants and investors. The user can establish a spending budget that helps them maintain profitability. 60MO includes accounting software and bank account integration so the user doesn’t have to jump between accounts or applications to obtain the information they need. Expenses are automatically categorized and a visual spending and income graph helps the user gather information quickly. The user can also come up with a “what if?” scenario that helps them determine the results or consequences of the business decisions they are considering.
60MO was founded in June of 2009 by John Siladie, Ed Buchholz and Keith Kauffman. The application was designed to assist small businesses with some of the most important tasks on their plates. Rather than providing a simple record keeping service, 60MO provided additional features that allowed users to manage human resources tasks, build effective budgets and determine how the financial decisions they make now might impact the health and stability of their company further down the road.
A number of applications are available to help businesses manage their finances. Some are even intended specifically for smaller organizations. What makes 60MO stand out is the number of features it offers. Users can build and maintain a budget and create a scenario that may not have happened yet. The application shows the user how this scenario may affect their business so the user can determine if the option they considered is truly the best for the company.
60MO breaks down financial data so the user can quickly and painlessly review it. Being a business owner doesn’t necessarily mean the user is also a financial planner. 60MO helps the business owner gather the information they need using a clean interface, colored text and easy to find navigation tabs. Users can manage their business with a tool that is as economical as it is user friendly.
A new user can try 60MO by clicking either the green “Start a Free Trial” button along the lower, left hand corner of the homepage or the white “Sign Up” link in the upper, right hand corner. Users who opt for the free trial are asked to choose their preferred plan before continuing. The registration form asks for an email address, first and last name, phone number and company name. A note at the end of the form advises the user that by submitting their information, they are confirming their agreement with the 60MO terms of use and privacy policy. After clicking the green button at the bottom of the form, a message appears informing the user that a confirmation email will be sent and must be accessed to use their new 60MO account.
60MO provides users with two membership options. After the 30 day free trial has ended, the user will have to provide their payment information to begin subscribing to the service. The first is the Simple Forecasting plan which costs $29 per month and includes live integration with over 10,000 banks, up to 60 months of projections, the ability to build a five year pro forma P&L, customizable metrics, human resources and project hiring tracking and the ability to create “what if?” scenarios. The Advance Planning option costs $49 per month and includes integration with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online and Xero, free implementation assistance, live phone support, complementary web-based training and customized reports. Users must purchase a one year subscription when choosing the Advanced Planning account.
60MO.com is intended specifically for small businesses and startups. Business owners and anyone responsible for financial decisions can really appreciate the tools included with the application. Users can also build a solid plan and budget by creating “what if?” scenarios and managing their expenses through 60MO. Bank account and software integration allows users to easily adapt to the application.
